Ministry Scheduler Pro

Altar Server
Assist the priest and deacon at Mass. Altar servers have received First Communion and can be male or female. This opportunity requires training and reverence for what happens during the liturgy. Altar servers typically serve at weekend Mass once or twice per month.

When: Weekend Mass

Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion (EMHC)
Assist in administering the Sacrament of Holy Communion, the Sacred Body and Blood of our Lord Jesus Christ at Mass. EMHCs have received the sacrament of Confirmation, are in good standing with the Church, and can be male or female. This opportunity requires training and a reverence for the Eucharist and the people of God.

When: Weekend Mass

Greeter
Offer a welcoming smile and words of greeting to all who enter our doors. Welcome people, distribute bulletins, and offer assistance as needed. Greeters are men and women of all ages. This opportunity requires training and a friendly and helpful disposition.

When: Weekend Mass

Lector
Proclaim the Word of God in the Liturgy. Lectors are men and women who have received the sacrament of Confirmation. This opportunity requires training in projecting one’s voice and sharing your faith through proclaiming the Scripture clearly, distinctly, and with understanding.

When: Weekend and Daily Mass

Liturgy Committee
Leaders of each liturgical ministry work together as a team to provide the parish with meaningful, well-planned liturgies. If you would like to join us and represent a ministry - Music, Sacristan, Lector, EMHC, Altar Server, Usher, Greeter, Hospitality, or Liturgical Environment,

When: 5 p.m. Wednesdays (3rd Wednesday of the Month)

Livestream Team
Experience Mass in a whole new way while extending Mass beyond our pews. Run camera capturing software to stream Mass online. Requires some basic computer training from a friendly and helpful group. Livestream team members typically serve at weekend Mass once per month.

When: 4:30 p.m. Saturday Mass and Special Liturgies

Music
Provide musical leadership at Mass and special liturgies. Singers and instrumentalists of all levels are welcome to join our ensembles. We have a rich history of great music and many opportunities to be involved with music at Saint Bonaventure. When: Weekend Mass and Special Liturgies

Sacristan
A sacristan prepares the church for Mass and special liturgical celebrations. Sacristans are men, women, and couples who have received the Sacrament of Confirmation and have received EMHC training. Sacristans typically serve at weekend Mass at once or twice per month or daily Mass. Sacristans must complete and maintain E3 credentials for Safe Environment before serving.

When: Weekend Mass, Daily Mass, and Special Liturgies

​Usher
Assist before, during, and after worship. Assist with the collection, distribute the bulletin, and assist parishioners as needed. Ushers are men and women of all ages. This opportunity requires training and a friendly and helpful disposition.
