Garage Sale
Our Annual Garage Sale is a lot of fun! Clean out your closets, donate what someone else could use, come back to shop, and help your community too! Half of the proceeds will be donated to ministries serving those in need in our larger community, and the other half will stay here at Saint Bonaventure.

Drop Off Donations
We cannot accept large appliances, large furniture, treadmills, mattresses, cribs, and VCR tapes.

• Sunday, May 5: 9 a.m. - 12 p.m.
• Monday, May 6: 9 a.m. - 6 p.m.
• Tuesday, May 7: 9 a.m. - 3 p.m.

• Thursday, May 9, 9 a.m. - 6 p.m.
• Friday, May 10,  9 a.m. - 4 p.m. | Half Price Day
• Saturday, May 11, 9 a.m. - 1 p.m. | Bag Day ($5) 

Volunteers Needed
We need your help! It takes many hands to make this work—please volunteer during sale week to receive drop-offs, organize, price, and sell items. We especially need help with clean-up on Saturday, May 11. Any amount of time you can give will be appreciated.

Social Justice and the Garage Sale
Our Saint Bonaventure community is committed to reaching out to those in need, and in that spirit, half of the proceeds of $13,276.21 will stay with the parish, and the other half will be distributed as follows:​

• Catholic Charities of St. Paul and Minneapolis—$1,000 Catholic Charities is the largest social service nonprofit in Minneapolis-St. Paul, their mission is to serve those most in need and to advocate for justice in the community. Learn more at cctwincities.org.
• Catholic United Financial Foundation—$1,000 The Catholic United Financial Foundation is striving to strengthen our Faith and provide support to others, not because they are Catholic, but because WE are Catholic. Learn more at catholicunitedfinancial.org/giving/foundation.
• Feed My Starving Children—$1,000 Feed My Starving Children (FMSC) believes hope starts with food. As a Christian nonprofit, FMSC is dedicated to seeing every child whole in body and spirit. Learn more at fmsc.org. 
• Meals on Wheels—$1,000 Metro Meals on Wheels provides nutritious and delicious home-delivered meals in the Minneapolis area. Learn more at meals-on-wheels.com.
• Sharing and Caring Hands—$1,000 Sharing and Caring Hands helps with whatever needs are not being met while providing these needs with dignity and affirming God’s love for all people regardless of their circumstances. Learn more at sharingandcaringhands.org.
• St. Patrick's of St. Paul—$1,000 For several years, we have received many brand-new items donated to our garage sale by a parishioner of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church. This year, we wanted to show our appreciation to this person for their generosity by donating to their parish. The money will be utilized for capital improvements.
  
• St. Vincent de Paul Society—$1,000 The Society of St. Vincent de Paul is an international voluntary organization in the Catholic Church, founded for the sanctification of its members by personal service of the poor. The St. Bonaventure SVdP conference offers a variety of outreach programs to address local needs through personal relationships with and service to people in need.​
