Screen Survey
We have been exploring installing screens or monitors inside the church to be used during Mass and other religious celebrations or events. Please complete this survey, as we want to learn what our community desires and, thus, how we can best serve you and your family. Be honest and open; we will consider all feedback.
In full transparency, it is essential to understand this is not a vote. This survey is an opportunity to provide feedback to help us understand what truly is desired from our community. Your feedback will help our Audio Visual Committee, Finance Council, Parish Council, and all involved make informed recommendations. Ultimately, this is the Pastor's decision.
Additionally, any significant change to worship spaces connected to the celebration of the sacraments requires a proxy (Board of Directors: Archbishop Hebda, Vicar General Fr. Lachowitzer, Pastor Fr. James, and our two trustees: Breta MacPhie and Tom Mantel) and approval from the Office of Worship from the Archdiocese of St. Paul and Minneapolis.

Background:
A committee has been formed and has received professional recommendations on what, where, how big, how many, how much, etc. We have also been visiting other churches to learn what has gone well and lessons in their experiences.
Two Placement Proposals:
A committee has been formed and has received professional recommendations on what, where, how big, how many, how much, etc. We have also been visiting other churches to learn what has gone well and lessons in their experiences.
Two Placement Proposals:
- Install four projectors/screens or TVs: two where the vertical banners are behind the altar and one each on the slanted walls where the statues of Mary and Joseph are. (Mary and Joseph would then share the flat walls with Saint Anthony and Saint Bonaventure, respectively.)
- Install two projectors/screens or TVs one each on the flat wall in between Saint Anthony and Mary (south) and in between Joseph and Saint Bonaventure (north).
Things to Consider:
Saint Bonaventure takes being a good steward of our assets seriously, and we seek to understand what our community truly needs and desires. This project is a significant investment of financial, time, and talent resources. Help us make a thoughtful decision and fill out this survey, whether you support or are against the installation of screens in our church.
Thank You!
Please contact Deacon Mickey at 952-297-8416 or [email protected], Fr. James, our trustees, or anyone on the Finance or Parish Council with questions or concerns.

- We have already received $13,138.48 towards an Audio Visual Fund.
- Our Capital Needs Fund Long-Term has $89,000, and this project would be an example of a capital improvement. We are grateful for the givers who contribute to our Capital Needs to help plan for the future needs of our parish.
- At the same time, our Sunday Giving is currently 5% below budget, and it is important that it meets the budget to provide for the day-to-day expenses of operating a church.
- In addition to the initial investment, there are future costs to consider with this project such as: maintaining equipment, upgrades, and stipends for people needed to make this work.
Thank You!
