Saturday 9:30 AM – Activity Building, Room 1
Our goal is to provide a safe, secure, and Spirit-filled peaceful environment for people to sort out what is happening to them---both spiritually and emotionally. We don't "shoot the wounded".
Most satisfying has been our opportunity to marshal the Christian-type support often needed with the crisis situations. For example, homeless families have been benefited, along with dozens of individuals needing support from St Vincent DePaul, and other resources. At the other end of the spectrum, we've worked with dozens of graduate degreed individuals that are "shell-shocked" by disintegrating careers until we teach them about the best "career counselor" of all.
At the moment, we're working with about a dozen active individuals and average about six to ten attendees each Saturday morning when we work our "three M" formula. Some need "Mechanical" help (resumes, interviewing practice, etc.); some need Motivation help (practical directives, leads, etc.); and some need Morale support (encouragement, scriptural confidence, etc.).
Finally, we encourage a vow of confidentiality, so it's often hard to give direct feedback. Nevertheless, there have been dozens of successful transitions, and most satisfying of all is the improved spiritual contact they've gained.
