Serra is an international organization founded in 1938 in Seattle. It is named after Blessed Junipero Serra, the noted Spanish Franciscan missionary priest.
The objectives are to foster and promote vocations to the ministerial priesthood of the Catholic Church and to develop appreciation of the priesthood and all religious vocations. And to further Catholicism by encouraging its members in fellowship through education to fulfill their Christian vocations to service.
Airport Serra meets on most first and third Fridays at St. Bonaventure Church for Holy Mass at 12:00, with a light lunch at 12:30 and a speaker from 1:00 to 1:30. The speakers are most often priests or seminarians, but we do have Catholic organizations inform us of their work within the Catholic Church. Many St Bonaventure parishioners are members of Airport Serra as well as Catholics from 15 other parishes. If you are interested in joining the Serra Club, contact Rita Peller at 952-888-7077 or
