Stations of the Cross - Offered each Friday during Lent from February 25th through March 30th at 7:00pm
Palm Sunday of the Lord's Passion: weekend of March 31/April 1st, outdoor procession weather permitting at the Sunday 10:00am Mass and solemn processions (indoors) with blessing of palm branches.
Reflections at the Foot of the Cross - a reverent, yet theatrical presentation. Actors, singers, and musicians present the story of Jesus' Passion and Death through eyes of his family, friends, and disciples; followed by Veneration of the Cross. Will be offered on Sunday, April 1st (Palm Sunday) at 4:00pm in Ambrose Hall of the Activities Building.
Holy Thursday, Evening Mass of the Lord's Supper - April 5th at 7:30pm - Includes Washing of Feet, Presentation of the Oils received from the Chrism Mass, Communion with homemade Eucharistic Bread (liturgically approved recipe), procession to the Altar of Repose, Solemn Adoration through Midnight
Good Friday, Celebration of the Lord's Passion, April 6th at 3:00pm - only one service (not a Mass) allowed this day. Service includes Passion reading according to John, Veneration of the Cross, and Holy Communion.
Easter Vigil - April 7th at 8:00pm. This amazing liturgy is for those who truly love the liturgy of the church! Includes Lighting the New Fire, lighting vigil candles held during the singing of the Exsultet, extended Scriptures, Celebration of the Sacraments for those to be baptized and received into the Church, Renewal of Baptismal Vows (with lit vigil candles), Eucharist and Solemn Easter Dismissal. Reception follows.
Easter Sunday - April 8th at 8:00am and 10:00am. The usual Mass times for extraordinary celebrations which are anything but the usual routine. We will have our Children's Choir at the 8:00am and our St. Bonaventure Choir and instruments to lead us with extraordinary music. We begin our Eastertime celebrations which include Renewal of Baptismal Vows, Sprinkling Rite, and Solemn Easter Dismissal.
