Neighbors serving neighbors in need.  Improving lives of people in the neighborhood.  VEAP meets the multiple needs of a household in crisis, from putting food on the table tonight to providing assistance with employment and affordable housing over the long-term.  VEAP is unique in its ability to develop a coordinated plan that will address a client’s specific situation.  Based on the idea of neighbors helping neighbors VEAP provides basic services that fulfill an immediate need in people’s lives and position them for long-term success.

FCS creates stronger families and communities so that individuals can address their own problems in healthy, proactive ways.  Programs offer life-changing, direct services to some of the Twin Cities’ neediest families and bring about measurable changes in public policy affecting disenfranchised communities.   FCS provides valuable mental health services for those who cannot otherwise afford them.

Twin City businesses of all sizes have volunteers delivering Meals on Wheels every weekday. All it takes is 1 hour per day to bring a hot lunch and a warm greeting to a home-bound neighbor.

Every other month a group of dedicated volunteers gather in our parish kitchen to prepare a meal to serve to the poor and hungry in the St. Stephens area of Minneapolis (21st and Clinton).  The cost of food is provided through the CARE Committee.  However, additional monetary donations are always welcome.
